the baeo and cyan pickings continue (pics)
    #445774 - 11/03/01 02:33 PM (23 years, 3 months ago)

Well after taking a fews off from hunting (got suckered into working) i headed back out. My grass cyan spot seems to be losing steam and i only recovered one decent sized fruit. Spirits were raised when i arrived at a baeo spot and found the fruits i had been monitoring there had reached maturity, they were picked and pics were taken.

Next stop was a new place that i have visited only once before. This place today yielded several new cyan patches and several wet pounds of the exotic fruit. Heres a few pictures.

-hopes alls enjoys theses pictures-

YOu seem to be a bit of an asshole (so suck my dick bitch), but i still give you props cuz holy shit dude....those baeos look like they'll fuck you up just by lookin' at 'em, I don't even think you'll have to eat them....I need to find some of those, I though I found shitloads but according to mj's expertise they were the wrong kind, luckily I gave them to some fag frien d of mine to test out, rather than eating them myself heheh....(they weren't poisonous).... anyways that's looking great!!!

actually when I showed Mj what I thought were baeos, I also showed him the first batch of cyans I picked the day before at the same spot. If you'd like to you can ask him fuckface. Then we went out and more than doubled my cyan supply. I also just went back a second time last night in the dark to grab some more cyans befor e heading to a party in seattle, but I decided to save them. I will try to scan those tomorrow, when I scan my hundreds more cyans I will find, along with my first ever baeos. I give you my personal guarantee that I will find at least one baeo by next weekend, or you can fuck me up the ass, which I will take with great pleasure, despite the fact that your dick is probably no more than 3 millimeters in diameter. haha this is fun fucking with fags

Typingwords, you are probably the stupidest, most arrogant, and inconsiderate motherfucker I have ever encountered.

Maybe you should kill yourself before someone kills you for being your asshole self. I hear drinking bleach works, or maybe you could stick a fork in a light socket, at least you'd have fun. Stupid fuck.

No one on these boards could give a flying fuck about your sorry ass. You might as well leave.

Hey Cardboard,
I am very discouraged, I have been out 5 times and have come up empty handed...I need your help.  I feel like I have done so much research, but have not found any in the field.  Can you tell me what kind of areas I should look for?  I have been up and down the coast in mixed forest and have looked hard...under decaying wood, under coniferous trees...I have gone deep into the forest and found some amanita muscarias but no psilocybe...I am very frustrated.  Can you give me any hints?  I am in Oregon (Portland area) and have traveled to the coast several times.  Would you ever want to go hunting sometime?  I would love someone experienced to show me where to look. Thanks, cardboard.

gumbydude, I can see how you might think that of me by just reading this post, but the fact is cardboard is a dick to me and talks shit for no reason, but you wouldn't see any of that on this post, so I end up looking like I'm just starting shit with him for no reason. But anyways, it has nothing to do with you, especially because you don't even know what I'm talking about. So you actually end up being the arrogant whatever the fuck you called me. Or the other reason you might have said that about me is because I said I gave those shrooms to my friend without knowing what they were. Well actually, I told him that I thought they were baeos but I wasn't positive because the spore prints weren't the right color, but he said he didn't care and wanted to eat some anyway. I knew they weren't poisonous because I've familiarized myself with the poisonous ones around here that could be confused with psilocybes. So I let him eat some. It was his choice.
Well, you seem to have the same problem as cardboard, you guys take shit way to seriously. CHILL THE FUCK OUT PLEASE!!! Because I can't always take the time to explain every little detail about things in order to keep myself from looking like an asshole. So don't take things word for word. Gumby I 'm not trying to get on bad term s with anymore people, but if you're going to judge so quickly and ignorantly then go ahead because I've got more important things to worry about. But I'm curious, do you still think I'm a piece of shit after hearing me out?

Sweet pics cardboard! Nice huntin. Umm...and I think that if anyone has shit to say about other people negatively they should use the PM's, because quite frankly you do sound like an asshole " typingwords", now I may be very wrong here without knowing you...but first impressions make lasting ones, so lets try to stay positive people, that is why I am here.

Cheers

Hello Cardboard and Typing Words.

I have no idea what both of your problems are but great find Cardboard. I am very proud to see a collection similar to what I usually find.

While this year, all of my P. cyanescens have been picked in grass I must congradulate you on this beautiful collection.

Yes I went out with Typing words and we picked some baby P. cyanescens in about ten locations, found a good little patch of blue ringers and then three P. fimetarias . I found him to be cool and curteous and well mannered and behaved so, again I do not understand this childishness by either.

On the other hand, another person whom I took out in the spring called me and we went to Kent. He had been looking all year and actually went to a place I took him in June and he not only found a big cache of Psi,locybe cyanescens, and blue ringers in mulch, but he and I discovered a new species , of which some images were posted at the mushroom hunting forum. then We also picked blue ringers growing dfirectly on the lawn next door to his very own home in Kent. AS I have often said over these past 25 years.

You can look all over, all day, all of your life and find nothing and then come home to your own space and then there they are right in front of your very own eyes. And across the street from his home were about one hundred or more shaggy manes (great edibles).

so Lets not fight. I am moving cross country in the next month so I will only be around once in a while. I am homeless and with out the use of a computer.
Bye for now and Hey Typing words. Keep looking in new spots and then maybe you too will find a great patch like Cardboard.

And Cardboard, not only is that a great find for you but the images are most excellent.

mj

Nah, you dont seem that bad now. But just so I don't look like an ignorant fool, I have been following the whole "typingwords vs cardboard" argument since it first started when you said you found some moldy cyans or something along those lines... I just think some people get "up in arms" too easily.

Like typingwords said, I think we should chill out.

Peace out,
-Gumby

gumby and mj yes, I agree I have been stupid and so has cardboard, and I'm definitely done. I was just having some fun though. I don't really feel any anger or hatred towards cardboard or anyone. Now time to go find some shrooms.

Hey MJ
I know you don't have much time right now, but I was wondering if you could give me a few pointers...I have gotten very discouraged lately, I have been out 5 times and have come up empty handed. I feel like all the research I have done is not helping me in the field, or there is so much it is hard to retain.  Can you tell me what kind of areas I should look for? I have been up and down the coast in mixed forest and have looked hard...under decaying wood, under coniferous trees... on much and woodchips.  I have gone deep into the forest and found some amanita muscarias but no psilocybe...I am very frustrated. Can you give me any hints? I am in Oregon (Portland area) and have traveled to the coast several times. I have read and reread you sight...is there something I am not looking for?  Thanks, MJ! :peace:

Hey Yew4Ea,

This is my second year hunting for magic mushrooms, and I know the feeling of not finding magic when everyone else is loading up as it happened to me last year....

this year i have found two huge patches and filled up almost a whole shoe box...

my advice to you is to look everywhere, they grow in alder mulch (which is the big chunked / greyish mulch...)...

When you find a patch i can gaurentee you there will be already some blueing on the stems, and go after a good rain..

i found some in someones garden and at a school......
In other words, this is exactly what i would do:::
Drive around looking for the right kind of mulch, and get out when you see it.. look really hard as these mushrooms tend to blend in extremely well, anyways i am sure you will find some because me and all my friends are finding cyans EVERYWHERE!!!

haha, good luck man and i feel your pain

-- OJJAY

P.S. if you can make it up to bellingham washington i would be happy to bring you to a few of my spots...

Thanks, OJ.  I appreciate the helpful hints .  It is raining here right now, so hopefully this coming weekend will be good...Also, I wanted to let you know that I am female....me telling you is the only way you would know as it is not in my profile.  This is the way we get to know people...so I hope you are not offended that I am telling you.  Thank you again...by the way...isn't Bellingham way north?  Maybe Portland area is too far south (just kidding).  Anyway...I am appreciative .

Ok, you Washingtonites are killing me!!!!  I know there isn't that much more rain there then here!  I guess knowing where to look and what to look for is the key, but I am sooooooo jealous.  How would you compare the PNW shrooms to P Cubensis down south?  I am pretty sure these are more potent up here, but I wouldn't know...Cause I CAN'T FIND ANY!!!!!!! :frown:

Yew4Ea & OJ....

I'm up in Bellingham too (for college). I've been out close to ten times and have found lots of mushrooms. I feel that I have a knack for spotting them, but unfortunately, I have found nothing active. I'm not just a kid looking to get "fucked up"....I'm actually really into mycology, but I lack experience and I was wondering (OJ) if you would be willing to show me a spot sometime.....I have never tried cyanescens either, though I have fair experience with cubensis tripping/growing. Also (Yew4Ea), if you are planning on comig up anytime to hunt, I would love to go with the two of you. I have no car, but I do have materials for hunting/drying, a sharp eye, and good conversation.....also I can provide herbal accessories if so desired. Let me know guys (or guy & gal)!!!

What Shadler says is true...He's a good kid, with good conversation and a good eye for mushrooms. Sorry I haven't been out with you recently, by the way. I'd also dig a bellingham hunt with the fellow shroomerites. I want to meet more of ya'll. If anyone wants to hunt tomorrow (monday) by all means PM me.

Too bad there are no pics though, there at least could have been pics. Came here to look for pics (new ones) from the PNW, but where are they at guys?
THis rain has been great. I"m gonna check my cyan spot tomorrow; too bad I don't have a digital camera. Scanning pics sucks
