another beginner question...

ok, ive decided its too expensive to buy them anymore, so i want to create the magic instead of purchase it...im not going to have alot to work with, and i dont have an incubator to keep it warm, im going to buy a mycobag for my first expiriment with them, 2 or three actually filled with grain. my question is, does anyone know the creditablity of hawkseye, TLG, Ralfster or spore-syringe.com? i was looking for a strain that i could grow in the dark (seen one the texas strain) and one that does good in the cold and i found one like that too the PESA strain, i have heard about that one, i know it is potent...what about the texas? i want to be able to inject it, set it in a closet and what else do i do to it while it is doing its thing? ive heard shake it and stuff...i dunno, looking for alittle advice here, good cold fruiting mush for me cause i dont have a humidifier or whatever it is you need...thanks alot for any answers you may have...

no matter which strain you use you're going to need light in order for mushrooms to grow

the bag will colonize in the dark slowly without heat. it can be done, it'll just take a long time.

the mushrooms need light to pin after the bag is fully colonized... light, fresh air, and high humidity.

if you really want to start this, you can... you'll just be waiting a while for mushrooms.

hey you live in chat TN? im in k-town...thats kinda neat that there are people like me around in TN, most of the people we have here are redneck slam ur truck on the ground type people, not bad, just not into mushies

you can build a pretty cheap fruiting chamber and start growing using the PF Tek. Really easy stuff man, that's how I started. :smile:

Chances are, you can find everything you need in your town. Small TN towns are great for picking up syringes for spore syringes. :smile: Go Feed 'N Seed.

If you know where to look, you'll always find someone interested in mushrooms.

i cant ever find them to buy them...lol so i want to grow them...i can't find a constant person who has them...i always pay like 40 an eighth if they refuse to sell them...(gotta have my mushies)

i don't sell them, i grow them for personal consumption, so i understand. :smile:

there are a few local growers around here (i know another 2), and nobody charges that much... but we don't condone selling them around here. friends and sharing. :smile:
