Make sure the trunk is clean as hell. If you can fan at least 3-5 times a day, and at least for a couple hours leave the trunk open, you should be fine. But keep it locked at all times that you can't close it in a hurry if need be. Its risky, weigh your options of getting caught, might not be worth it. Good luck though.

That's cool that your roommates know and are cool, it will make it easier, just don't say a WORD to anyone, NO-ONE.

Water and bleach should be good, get a can of lysol, its a great thing.

You know, if you can provide light while its in the trunk or if you can leave it open for a good part of the day, then it may just be a beneficial thing to have it growing in the trunk because you would limit the amount of airborne contams considerably, you could even try to rig some kinda filtered intake-exhaust system.

Just a thought about getting light in. If you did not use a light inside the trunk you could make a plexi galss window and apply mirror tint to the inside. this would let some light in but keep out unwelcome observers and reduce the fire hazzard.

forget the plexi-glass and just wire a night light in there. If you mess with the trunk people will look at it and be very curious about a tinted plexi glass window on a trunk which looks like it's growing drugs inside. the night light will keep them growing straight up and help with pinning, although I think the ambient light they'll receive while you're viewing them will be enough for pinning.

My friend keeps his on 24/7. He just puts it on top of the fruiting chamber, which has a clear plastic lid. The shrooms look super cool in the soft light, very comfortable and happy. What is your obsession with this pump system thing? You don't need it, unless you're going to leave them unattended for over 3 days at a time...if you've got arms then fan them once or twice a day(of course more is better in this case).

In your situation fanning would probably be the best option. Pumps make noise and would attract even more attention than a window..good luck!
