Peer Pressure with Alcohol

Hi all
im pretty pissed off right now, i used to be quite a heavy drinker up unitl 2 weeks ago when i quit totally, i havent had any withdrawl symtoms nor felt the need to drink at all, in fact ive felt better than i have in years. But most of my friends and family, are really pissing me off saying things like, "you'll drink again, i know you" and comming out with comments to justify there own and my past excessive use of alcohol, whilst trying (without success) to lure me back to my old habbit patters, im pretty upset to learn that the ppl i considered open minded and supportive have turned out to be so heavily conditioned by socitey. At the moment im starting to feel more and more apposed to this alcohol fuled society where anything else other than the destructive, addicitve influence of alcohol is rejective as a valid recreational pastime.  :mad2:

anyways just had to get that out, am going to relax and chill with some kava  :smile:

alcohol is good, in moderation. but good on you! do your own thing. fuck em all. go travel the world or summit. let them sit there and drink without direction. fuckit. but hey have a sly one for me

If you're telling this kind of thing to your friends that drink, you're probably annoying the piss out of them. Don't be the holier-than-thou ex-drinker. Everybody hates that guy.

Im not being the holier than thou person, in fact i havent commented on  at all,. that would be hypocritical considering up until a couple weeks ago i was a heavy drinker. the reason i am pissed off is that they havent been supportive at all, not like when i gave up the million and 1 other things i was addicted to. Anyways i dont really need there support, but i was expecting them to be more considerate. I suppose thats what i get for having expectations. :confused:
