Hey, have you done that Myers-Briggs personality test? If you do it it gives suggestions for lines of work that would suit you. I did mine and it told me I would be interested in all the stuff I have ever considered or done for a career (psychology, art, research, teaching, counselling, etc). Here's a link. http://similarminds.com/jung.html When you've got your type look it up with "careers" in google.

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean if Pacman affected our generation as kids, we'd all be running around in a darkened room, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Now that explains your avatar   I always wondered what kind of shrooms is that, growing the stem first and the cap only at the end...

No, nice work haha!  You sure have some skills I don't have.

Okay, some of these I got fired from, some I quit and some I was too "ill" to keep doing.

I've been an electoral canvasser (posting ballot registrations through letter boxes.
A file clerk in a bank (stuck in the vault all fucking day long)
A science technician in a school
An electrician's mate
An English and Media Studies teacher
Administrator for social workers
Media researcher for advertising companies
Data entry typist for travel website
PA for manager of an college's employment office
&
am currently a copy chaser for a big funky newspaper (have managed to keep this job for 4 years now)

all jobs are basically shitty - gonna change soon, need to not be stuck at a desk all fucking day long

Doesn't matter what you do, it's who you work with that really matters

I quit my job years ago to study. I now have a degree in music production, no work and a lot of debt.

You have internet access thru the day right?

The answer could be penny stocks!

Become a daytrader. I visit forums where people are regularly pulling 10-15k USD per week trading the highly volatile US OTC and pink sheet markets.

You need to know what your are doing but if you are savvy, then you just watch and learn.

You can easiy throw 2k at a moving penny and jump out with 20% profit that same day. Do this 2 times a day 5 times a week and you are on your way to never having to work again.

Of course you could lose everything you have. Evaluate the risk. Look before you jump.

The labor can get hard in construction and masonry, but the money is so fucking woth it.

Thats how I started out. My father has a masonry company and I started working as a hod-carrier at about 15. It was good hard work that paid well and it taught me the value of a good work ethic at a young age. And I have never been afraid to put in a hard day of manual labor.

If I could chose another job, I'd be a mechanic...instead that's my hobby.

I always worked on cars/motorcycles as a hobby. Then I moved to Seattle for one year and took a job as a mechanic (the only job I ever had that wasn't construction). I found out it was much better to keep it a hobby. Working on someone elses piece-of-shit busted-ass car sucks.

I daytrade. I started off investing $1,000 in an etrade account and got really lucky at first and then got stupid and lost most of my money. That was a good learning experience. I started learning how to read charts, use Level 2 quotes, and all that stuff. I brought in a few extra K this year just messing around with penny stocks. It carries a lot of risk, but if you spend the time to learn how to play the market you can minimize the risk and maximize your profits. Good tip bro.

I work construction, electrical, concrete, framing, finishing, roofing. I have to say it's the best job I've ever had, it's rarely boring and mostly satisfying, if it wasn't for all the hicks in the field it'd be perfect.

My crew basically build everything from the ground up with exception of the plumbing and heating and we skip that because we don't want to be service men.
We do all kinds of construction so sometimes you get stuck with a shitty job but then again sometims you get really cool projects like

These are a specialty of my boss. He's been doing them for 3 decades and has the oldest ones in a few states. I will probably build one for myself oneday.

Try something like CNC programming. It's not exactly physical. But seeing a tool physically peel a heep of steel off because you told it to is pretty cool

It's a geodesic dome, they are very efficient, I planning on building one in the next 5 years I think, I got a good place way out in the middle of no where picked out and I know the land owner and could definitly purchase a few acres of it, only problem is the cost of septic tank and running electricity, maybe I should consider wind or solar power? I'm considering geothermal heating. I'd also have to buy a plow to keep the road cleared.
They are pretty interesting homes, a coworker lives in one My boss built 25 years ago, I really like them, I'm really looking forward to building one for myself.

yeah, its bad shit when you jump in without knowing what you are doing. I lost a lot of money since I started watching the markets in May.

Keep your eye on MLON. Big buzz around that one at the min. tho if you read the PR's that guy Pino seems to full of it. Shit! .10 - .15 buyout for a .002 stock. But if it comes thru....fukc!!!Wow!

I sit in climate controlled comfort, listen to the stereo and even have a fridge in there.

I dont have to speak to anyone allday long/deal with idiot coworkers.

I've been operating these machines for over ten years and i'm still improving and learning new things, most jobs suck but i'm generally happy while i'm working unless it's monday.
