Possible drying contamination

I have a question about contamination during or after drying. I had two casings, one of orissa's and the other was b plus. i had to move recently, and so they came with. The orissa casing stopped growing after the first flush so i tore a chunk of mycelium out and found that nasty green mold. My other casing is doing wonderful, but when im drying the ones i harvest, one to two days later they turn very blue and start to smell a little. I know that the psilocybin will turn blue when it oxidises, but the whole situation doesnt seem right. Im just using a lamp to dry them, as i just recently paid for my entire set-up (first time grower) and i dont have any money right now for a drying chamber and desiccant. Is it possible that the one casing contaminated the other? I dont think so, so I know im doing something wrong. What is it?

well im still new at this my self but through my studys heat isnt good for drying them it wears off the psilocybin

-Ick. Heat and light break down the chemicals you're trying to preserve. Try fanning them instead, cutting them into halves/quarters will speed up the drying proccess this way. it's hard to get cracker dry shrooms with a fan without cutting them.

If they're still not quite dry, a day on top of your computer monitor, covered, will be low heat and no light, so it'll dry them. i doubt the temps. get high enough on your monitor to break down anything noticable.

Heat/Light = Bad for drying shrooms. Just set them on the back of your monitor and place a piece of paper over them. The vents on the back of the monitor work like a dehydrator and will suck the moisture out of them in a day or so.

i think the best thing to do is the ol rubbermaid container with damp rid from ur hardware store........works wonders and are completely dry in only two days.........good luck buddy.
