sterilization?

hi im new to this.

does anyone reccomend any sterilizing techniques besides using a pressure canner. i dont have access to one right now.
has anyone had any luck using the stovetop steam sterilization tek? ive heard that some people have some success while others report %100 contamination.
what about adding a percentage of hydrogen peroxide to the substrate to help ward off contaminants. or would that
just be too counterproductive, since the peroxide could kill spores as well? let me know if anyone has any experirnce to share.

the heat would break down the peroxide during sterilization.
peroxide kills spores yes.

steaming half pint jars filled with a flour/vermiculite substrate is a good way to start. steam for one hour and there should be no contams unless introduced during innoculation. whole grains should not be steamed, this is not sufficient to sterilize them.
