I have lost the music I usually like to meditate to and was wondering if anyone could recommend some to get my hands on.

hemi or holosync i have copies of it listen to with headphones its excellent if you can get a hold of stereo head phones. mostly anything that is mellow without vocals. i have quite a few cds for meditation, can get a list if you like later. a pretty cool music is Sacred Spirit native american indian music pretty trippy its got vocals but that doesn't really matter. tribal trance - aussie band that's pretty much the same. its got about 10 different diggies, flutes, drums, a wide range of wind instruments. can give more soon

Ravi Shankar, 'Three Ragas' or 'In New York' or 'In Concert.' The Gyuto Monks, 'Freedom Chants from the Top of the World' or 'Tibetan Tantric Choir.' Freedom Chants has the additional joy of Philip Glass's '"#2 for Gaia."

Klaus Schulze:
-Timewind (especially the track "Wahnfried 1883")
-Mirage (Especially "Crystal Lake")
-X (Especially "Friedrich Nietzsche" and "Ludwig II Von Bayern")
-Body Love (Stardancer II)
Don't be discouraged if his music sounds to be monotonous at first. His tracks are usually very long but have the twists in right places. He also employs a technique that puts brain waves into more relaxed state (if you let it happen of course).
I really don't understand why K. Schulze is not more popular. His music is a lot deeper than e.g. Jean Michel Jarre's or Enigma's.
Btw. he used to be a member of Tangerine Dream, the famous German synthesizer group usually credited for big advancements in electronic music during 1970s. However, I like his music much more due to its unabashed psychedelic aura and ability to put me into deep meditative state even without any drugs.
I wonder if there's anyone else here who likes his music?

thanks for the info alphaone. I have the mirage album and like it very much. I also enjoy listening to tangerine dream. i didnt know he was part of the band. I will check his other releases too, I certainly enjoy Klaus Schulze.
