Windows Media Player

Hello, I'm sure this has been discussed before but unfortunately I was unable to find the thread. I use Windows Media Player 9 and it seems that I have been unable to play many different files, that I should be allowed to play. At this link: http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Chemistry/5-301January--IAP-2004/StudyMaterials/index.htm I wanted to watch those videos but when I do, it says it doesn't support the file. If you click on the help link, it shows you a chart of .xxx files that are allowed, but it still won't play. This has happened on several occasions and I was wondering if there is something I can do about it.

Thank you.

Read the page... "RealOne Player software is required to run the .rm files in this section."

yeah i don't think any players can properly play .rm files except for Real player. But windows media player really sucks... i'd recommend VLC - http://www.videolan.org - for all your video needs.

Every time I go to download the free version either off of real.com or download.com both times it won't let me download it. It brings me to one of those "cannot display" type pages.

Media Player Classic plays Realmedia files without all the hassle/spyware/popups etc.
Get it here http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli
