Smell of substrate

Hi,

I colonize my substrate in a jar. When I opened it up it looked white, but there was a "banana" smell coming from it. Is it contam?

What substate did you use? We need a bit more info here bro...

sorry,

it was rye substrate. used p. cubensis. it would be nice if someone could refer me to pic of cobweb mold.

check out the contams forum, you may find a cob web mold pic there, I'm heading there now to see, I think I saw a post about grey mold which is pretty much the cob web mold i believe....
