Wardriving
    #3400230 - 11/23/04 07:35 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

I just got D-link's Airplus DWL 650+ card, and I think I'm going to scan some networks. I'm just wondering what you any of you might use for setups?

I'm trying to find Airsnort, but can't..
I've been on wardriving.com and can't seem to get any of the software they recommend there.

All I'm looking for is some first hand knowledge, tips or any thing you have to offer.

war driving is awsome, and in a highly populated area you dont even have to leave the house some times. i love how people sent their wireless signals into my house free of charge

whats the point in Wardriving?

i remember war dialing back in the bbs days, scanning an area code like (666)555-xxxx, the x's being computer gen'd, and saving the #'s that had a computer on the other end. ahhh to be back in the days of bbs's.

depends on the person. Some people just enjoy doing it and making maps, others like taking them over for their own use, and still others just want a source for annonimity
