Question for the cultivators

I have about fifty fresh cubensis drying out in two seperate drying chambers(MMGG specs) and they have been there for about 2 days. I checked their progress this morning and discovered that mycelium was growing fairly abundantly on the caps and stems of several of the mushrooms.
My question is this: what if I were to make a casing using a few of the fresh caps which have the most mycelium growth...and has anyone ever attempted such? And if so, were you successful? Thanks...
