Boiling jars twice...?

I don't have a pressure cooker.  In an attempt to be really sterile is it OK to boil the jars twice (for 1.5 hr periods) or might it ruin (overcook :smile:) the mixture?

and if your a realy pressed for time 60min after the boiling point should do you good too...
