Another Day Driving in Phoenix

So I'm driving on the 101 in Phoenix and just about every car is ploding along below the 65 mph speed limit and I get into the far left lane going about 75-80. Pretty fast, faster than pretty much anyone else on the road.

Just as I'm contemplating that excessively slow driving makes others drive excessively fast this dude in a beemer just rockets up behind me. He comes out of nowhere and is probobly going 95-100 before he slows down behind me. The man starts riding my bumber really close (at 80mph). Then he starts telling me to get out of the left lane. I ignored him and he pulls even closer (down to a few feet). After a couple more times of him motioning and yelling to me to get out of the lane I finally do. If he's gonna drive like a maniac that's his own damn problem, I had an exit to make.

I let the guy go on the possibility that he may have had a legitimate reason to be driving like that, like being in the FBI or family emergency or something, rather than just being a wreckless self-important asshole. In all probobility that's likely what he was.

Anyways it was pretty crazy. What is up with people like that?

I used to hate getting off work at 3:30 and having to haul ass down superstitios to W10 before grid lock traffic down there. Lived right on the Tempe/mesa/Ph are where they join and didn't do much driving at all between 3:30 and 7 pm.

sometimes I hate when drivers are aggressive dicks.

sometimes I am in a rush and I drive crazy.

lol, yea..whenever i'm not in a rush i tend to think to myself "man, i feel no pity for these people speeding, even if they DO have somewhere to be! they just should have left earlier."

then i get in a pinch and have to speed down the interstate, and i completely change my attitude just to let myself slide :lol:

yeah, I do it too. But at least I can say I've never been as crazy as that guy.

my friend was a pizza delivery dude in college. I hate going on roadtrips with that motherfucker - drives insane, cuts people off, usually goes 30+ over. he drives like he's playing a video game.

I just keep my head down and mess with the stereo.

lol. sounds like a great guy to be driving.

we all speed now and then, but theres no need for riding people and being a total cock. i love to speed, feels great, but i dotn do it around a lot of other cars and dont make a thing out of having to slow down again.

i'm lucky..... i drive I 10 usually around 7 headed West for school.

So i miss all kinds of traffic.
