many many things.... a picture of jerry with a big beard and even bigger smile... a really good help > slip > franklins... the opening bass line to Dark Star... the unfortunate fact that I was born in the mid 80s and never got a chance to see Jerry alive... and, of course, good ol' LSD

I think Pigpen was about the only thing related to the Dead that wasn't on LSD more often than not

Now you know what i really don't now any grateful dead songs which is weird because they must have been a massive cult band in their day. I'm reminded of the story in electric kool-aid acid test when they (gd) are playing a gig (if i remember this correctly) and owesley the famous acid producing chemist has just done 'a good dose' and stumbles into the hall shouting 'survival! survival!' and proceeds to renounce acid and drive his car into a tree!

When I think of the Grateful Dead, I think of me and my group of friends back in high school, summertime, camping, bonfires, weed smoking, great fun. I loved those people, god bless em.

I agree with adrug and booooom: Good old things w/ a new and somehow, better perspective. But what gets me about this topic is how Lucy is the first on the scene. Seriously, every time i ask someone if they ever listened to the dead, they answered as if i asked them if they ever dosed before

hehe yeah before my friends and I left to go to the show, my friend told his mom where he was going.
She paused for like a minute, probably thinking about all the good memories, and then proceded to tell us how jealous she was. hehe she probably wanted to dose...

I believe Bill Graham never did LSD, but I remember reading a story about how boby was getting upset cause they kept dosing him all the time. So he broke into Bill Grahams hotel room and dosed the lip of each can of 7up that was in the refrigerator.
How much of this is true, I can not say because I dont remember where I read it.
