I started this little project a year ago in my back yard. I used Anno's woodlover tek and received much advice from the MASTER of all mycomen, Joshua. Two weeks ago I believed all of my hard work was for not. Two weeks ago the cyans and azures were popping up like crazy all over the North West except my back yard. This is what has happened in the last week. Joshua you were right, patience and love. Ladies and gentlemen introducing the fruits of my labor!!!!! These are the first fruits. There will be many more pics to come. Enjoy!!!

Two questions...
First off, where are you located? Pacific Northwest? Second, could you direct me to the tek you used?

I should of started this thread in the grow log or advanced tek forums a year ago, but, I didnt so I will do my best to answer any questions here. I am located in the PNW half way between Vancouver, BC and Portland, OR. I used all three of the following resource guides to advise me in my endeavors. web page web page web page I also used the oldest most simple tek known to shroomies- the mycellium transfer. The Azures came via myco transfer from Ft Canby. The Azure myco was mixed into maple, poplar, oak, and alder chips that had been soaked in water and drained. I like to use a 10:1 ratio of chips and organic compost. The compost helps retain moisture and the myco seems to travel fast through it. I used big styrofoam bins for this spawn colonization phase. The bins were stored over the winter in my garage (non heated) the chips colonized slow at a constant 55deg. At the same time I was colonizing Cyans using the teks that I linked above. I used 30 cubic yards of clean alder and maple chips for my substrate. These chips were put in flower beds and they were also used as a substrate over wich I layed an organic compost and then I planted grass on top. This grass was key to maintaining humidity and cool temps over the long hot dry summer. More pics will follow as my half acre back yard is exploding with little musies who are not camera shy. questions?

Its a big area and in some places I over did it with the substrate ie 2 feet deep in some places. My tactic here was to use 1,000% over kill, that way if only 1% made it to flush I was still going to have a ton of mushies. Well it appears that about 75% of what I inoculated is at least pinning and most amazing I have actives growing in many places that I never even inoculated with active myco. I do have a few non active woodlovers growing in the mix. I have been pulling them up as they pin. I hope the azures and cyans overtake them this winter and spring. This is only the first year. Next year will be the BOMB!
