While scissors maintain the mycellium and keep it mostly intack, crawling around with heavy weight on your hands and knees and siting in the patch causes more damge to perspective growth when collecting P. cyans in mulch. the kneeling and heavy weight are a catastrophy to the mycelliaum and that is where damge comes form.
mj
Of cpourse sometimes I do yuse scissors but the lest you handle the shroom or damgae it with scissors cutings the less oxidation opccurs. I wait uuntil they re completely dry and not nbluing so I know they do not lose much potency.

I guess its good that not all of us fit into the catagory of the 80% overweight americans. So your saying that you put extra weight on your knees when you cut a fruit from the ground rather than pulling it out. That is interesting. I have nothing against you other than the ridiculas things you say and then your lack of response to any geniune questions.

MOST PATCHES OF MUSHROOMS GROWING IN SOIL COVERED WITH WOODCHIPS OR MULCH ARE OPEN TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE FROM SOMEONE WHO STEPS ON THE GROUND OR KNEELS ON THE GROUND WHERE THERE ARE SHROOMS GROWING, . OR SOMEONE WHO SITS IN THE BRUSH TO COLLECT THEIR SHROOMS. ACCORDING TO jONATHAN OTT, SCISSORS CAUSE INFECTION TO THE MYCELIA IF YOU DO NOT SWAUB THEM IN ALCOHOL EACH TIME YOU CUT THE STEM FROM A SINGLE SHROOM. SOMETHING i DO NOT NEED TO GET INTO WITH YOU SINCE YOU DO NOT HEAR WHAT I SAY. Iit IS NOT A MATTER OF OVER WEIGHT BUT A MATTER OF FACT THAT MORE THAN 20 POUNDS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO MYCELIA.
i SEE PEOPLE CRAWLING IN BUSHES AT THE ZOO PICKING CYANESCENS. i SEE MOST TEENAGERS AND YOUNG ADULTS RIP OUT EVEN THE SMALLEST PINNERS. AND IT IS POSSIBLE TO POISON ONESELF OR FRIENDS SINCE EVEN THE DEADLY GALERINA SHROOMS WILL RESEMBLE PSILOCYBE MUSHROOMS IN THEIR PINNER STAGE.
TODAY ROADKILL SAW MANY THOUSANDS OF GALERINA'S FORMING AND MIMICKING P. CYANESC3NS IN THE BOWTIE STATGE OF THEIR GROWTH AND DEVELOPEMENT. Ii EVEN PHOTOGRAPHED A GALERINA GROWING RIGHT AMONGST A GROUPS OF P. CYANESCENS TODAY.
iF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH WHAT i WRITE THEN ASK ROADKILL WHAT HE SAW WHEN I POINTED THE GALERINA AND PSILOCYBE GROUPING TO HIM TODAY.
YOU SAY I CONTRIBUTE NOTHING BUT YOU ASK A QUESTION AND I PROVIDE YOU WITH AN HONEST ANSWER AND YOU JUST DON'T SEEM TOHEAR OR GET IT.
SO FROM NOW ON I WILL NOT ANSWER A SINGLE QUESTION FROM YOU IN THIS FORUM. OR ANY FORUM FOR THAT MATTER. IN FACT I WILL NOT WASTE MY ENERGIES RESPONDING TO YOU OR ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY OR THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT OR SAY ABOUT.
HAVE A NOT SO SHROOMY DAY,
MJ

GGreatOne234,
if you had read the preious page then you would have seen the comment which says, "Nice shot of me going into the shitter!! lolzzz."
Go back and see who said that comment and then you will know who that was going into the shitter near where we found all those mushrooms.

BG, would that be Bulgaria or Bushy Gushy?
You did not say exactly where thou art.
Mj
Some clarification is needed to determine the parameters of your region and its many weather conditions, especiaoy at this time of the year.
On builddings in Kent yesterday the sun was shiny in the east but the back side of the buildings had a vast frost buildup and that was around 11 am in the morning.
so the frost is coming. That can kill everything. Settle proper had no snow for five and a half years until March of this year. I posted P. stuntzii images here on the 12th of March and then the snow came for three days. There were no more shrooms until September 9th when I posted the images with my group of travelers to Thailad the day before we left.
have a shroomy day and get back to me on tha one.
Went and found a few cyans this morning wearly but took no pictutures.

Oh there is also a nice picture of you laying in a cyanescens patch in another thread right now. The answer, jetpacks designed specifically for mushroom foraging.

That's it. Next year I'm going out there and hunting. I never tried those. Just hunting for them must be fun though. I have a friend in Oregon. He loves going out in the woods this time of year especially. (mental note: look around "port-o-lets")

T0aD you're really pissing me off. Take your pointless, nagging, prattle into PM and don't ruin a perfectly good post. The PM feature is there for a reason, you should start using it.
