Upgrade Setup Project

So here is a picture of my current setup in my basement:

Im going to clear the top part of that wooden plant holding device to create room for more plants on top (smaller ones) while the bottom will be used for the larger ones (mothers). So I spent 120$ and bought 2 light fixtures and one soft and one normal florescent light for each of them (and of course ground and plant pots etc etc which are not shown), Shown here:


That wil be the hardest part, there will be small additional upgrades and mods on the whole setup too.

So I'll keep you updated with pictures.

goodluck, i wish i had all that room but i'd probably end up broke because of all the money i'd put into it (though 2 1/2 months later everything would be good) :cool:

i'd move that thermometer (it is a thermometer right) from where it is to right behind it on the wall at or a little higher than the highest leaves then you know the temp your plants feel not the room temp.

You should check out junk stores Like old building supply places.. You could get 20 ballests for the price of one of those fixtures.. And then you could have way more lights crammed together, because in reality floros suck and the more the marrier

thats is true, but this is a small town, and we don't have one of those, but there only 12$ each or so, nothing real expensive.

You should hang those lights on chains, with floros you want to get them as close as possibe for fast growth. With salvia you should give them a few inches but most plants and cacti can be right upto the bulbs and even touching.

Another way to go is to get a mh or hps light. They are more efficient than floros by far.

Yes, there isnt anything but HID that counts if you wanna grow greencrops..they are rather energy comsuming but it pays in the end.

I think sally like floros more than HPS or MH.. Iv got one under HPS and its not likeing it.. black on the edges of the leaves even under a bag taht I spray a couple times a day.

Here is an update :laugh: sorry for the delay, im sure noone was waiting though.

But of course NOW I have a problem with fungus growing on teh basement walls, So I had to bleach the whole damn place down perdy good. I't will be an endless battle :frown:

Also dont be afraid to put those light as close as possible.. Even as close as a few inches..
