dropped spores, yikes!
    #330701 - 05/31/01 03:07 PM (15 years, 9 months ago)

last night i noticed a lot of my mushies were ready for harvesting, so i figured i would do it when i woke up. unfortunately when i woke up, i noticed like a dark blackishresidue stuff(hehe) around one of the shrooms. i figured this was one of them releasing spores and i heard this is not good. i ulled all th eshrooms out since they were all ready to be harvested and covered my casing witha thin layer of verm over where i pulled from. then i i misted , and ppraying that a second flush comes of it. how bad is it that the spores were dropped and what should i use to fix whatever s gonna go wrong?? will i still get a second flush? thnx

That won't harm a thing. Just clean up with bleach or peroxide before your next crop.

My uncles monkey has never had a problem with dropping spores.  But he says if you are really conserned about it just mist your casing with some peroxide and all is good.  The peroxide will kill the spores but not anything else.

4 out of 5 inmates agree.  The FSR is better than being raped by your overweight roomate!;)
