I have heard this before as well. But I don't think my friend has ever had any problems with this.

Yes according to the "mushroom cultivator" spores on the growing surface can "inhibit" future growth . If you read it right it says inhibit pin head growth , not stop future flushes , but less pin heads means less yeild . The book I mentioned is great has lots of info , well worth the investment .
The best time to harvest for the sake of collecting spores is just as the veil breaks away from the stem , sometimes you will see a little bruising at the site indicating the veil is tearing open .

Any information I give is not intended to aide you in the production of potentialy illegal substances !None of my exp comes from growing illegal varities , so take it as you will .
So with that said here is our mission statement .

Go to page 155 topic harvesting , second paragraph , in the last 4-5 lines . I read the info about the veil somewheres else , but it stuck with me and made sense . As the veil gets strained it bruises as P.CUBES should .
I am new to this , but have been absorbing so much info I am bursting at the seams , wishing I could make the nectar of the gods quicker .
Peace and good luck .

What's with the deleting of posts anyways. This might of been "growlog". he also deleted his posts tonight.

Ok, i see what he means. i think that mainly pertains to commercial beds of fully mature mushrooms. If you let a few go, to print, no biggie. I think it was the guy who did "the court jar way revisited" who said that it'd be "all over" if you let one drop spores.
