dropping spores early
    #357226 -

I have been letting one of my mushrooms grow and have the cap flatten out so I can take a spore print now this morning i went to check it out and the veil is almost completely gone the cap still isnt flat, but I think it dropped its spores. There is a little black circle on the plexiglass under the cap. What should I do now?

Don't wait until it is fully flat, you'll miss half the action! As soon as the veil breaks you will often notice some spores on the veil having already dropped. Just give a few more hours so it is in full sporulation then pick.

If you want to let them open fully so you can take a nice picture, employ the use of one of my Spore Collars.

It may still be dropping spores, I hope you put it on spore paper right away. If you are growing on a cake, they are all going to open around the same time, just try another one!
