How do you find out who is running on your local ballot?

I have no Idea where to begin to find out who I'm going to be able to vote for.

go online to the county you live in. it will show you an example ballot. vote no on anything that takes more money out of your pocket. unless you think the goverment will do a good job spending your money.

You can ignore anything you wish. It doesn't change the fact that if a week before the election you don't already know whom you're voting for, let alone who's running..... you shouldn't be anywhere near a voting booth on election day.

Elaborate? Sure. You could get a list of the candidates, which I'd guess you still haven't done. That leaves you what? 5 days to learn about the candidates? So.... how will you do this? Read campaign literature? The stuff where each candidate praises himself and damns the other guy? Right. Like that's a good way to do it. If you don't know who's even running then you certainly don't know their voting records and what the believe in and stand for. But they'll tell you. Of course they'll embelish a bit and skim over shit they'd rather you not know about.

Politics is a year round thing, not a "crap, I don't know who's running so I'll make a hasty decision thing".

You dropped the ball.
