Identification!

Here is Some pictures of Some fungus I found. I only have one book and can't find anything that looks like this except something in the panaeolus area. Hopefully some of you guys can help. Thanks.










Found it in the grass, in north Utah.
b. Gills look black. Maybe a dark brown, taking spore print. Gills are detaches and close together.
c. Stem 1-2 cm diameter. Cap 1-2 inches diameter. Stands anywhere from 1-3 inches tall.
d. White Fragile stem hollow
e. orange on top, then white, then black on bottem.
f. Taking spore print
g. Does not bruse.
h. None, Maybe slighly like a store baught mushroom.

Some sort of coprinus. I have found them before...

I think Coprinus too. Pans should have a slightly sturdier stem.

thirded. they are certainly Coprinous. they look like they may be C. micaceus, a verry common edible [not great but not bad when not yet sprulating] species on wood and the roots of shrubs. you can confirm this by checking the youngest specimens and/or any wich are sheltered from the rain for fine gritty particles on the caps. these are sometimes so small as to require the use of a magnifying lens.
