MD Woodland Mushroom Identification Request

1.
Habitat:
Grassy area surrounded by corn field and woods; was growing in the grass

Gills:
Attached, purple in color

Stem:
Length: 4-8 cm; Diameter: 1-1.5 cm; off-white/gray in color with slight purple hue

Cap:
2-4 cm in diameter; off-white/gray color with slight purple hue(same as stem; "crinkled" appearance at edges of cap

Spore print color:
White

Bruising:
No noticeable bruising

Other Information:
These are really "chunky" mushrooms. The stem was thin on some specimens while exceeding thick on others. The mushroom had a purple hue to it and the gills were a bright purple.

Habitat:
Grassy area surrounded by corn field and woods and in the woods; was growing in the grass & in the woods.

Gills:
Unattached, white in color & veiled

Stem:
Length: 6.5-7.5 cm; Diameter: 0.5-1 cm; white in color & no cottony patches or rings

Cap:
Diameter: 3-4.5 cm; Gold/yellow in color, shiny with white/yellow-ish warts

Spore print color:
White

Bruising:
Not much noticeable bruising, with after sitting out the stem turned a slight brownish color.

Other Information:
These mushrooms were smallish, at least I didn't find any very large ones and their caps were what really caught my eye as they literally looked as if they were made of gold! Id love to know what these are, they are very interesting.

Btw, what camera are you using clementine? It appears that you're not using the macro function, which would drastically improve the quality of your photos. This could help revealing details in your (future) photos that will facilitate mushroom identification.

The macro mode of your camera is usually illustrated by a little flower icon. Here's a page that has some information on the use of the macro function of digital compact cameras. Give it a try, you'll be amazed at the results :thumbup:

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I was really upset with the quality of the pictures when I would try to get up-close. I will definitely check it out.
