scientist will never rule the world. they will always be overruled by the friviolous short-term mentality of the public. their breakthroughs and technologies will never be applied correctly but abused by the majority of self-indulgence that over runs the world today. look at neuclear technology, usefull for energy here at home (if we could make it safer) and sent along with satellites to power the progress of science. But the most research on splitting the atom has been done in the interest of war. to blow each other up, what a horrible use. Although i suppose we deserve such a fate for being such a foolish species, then again think of teh environmental damage we would cause to otehr organisms who played no part in it.
Scientist also continuely warn the public to teh dangers of ozone depletion, climatatic change, and pollution. They now all to well teh danger we place ourselves in. But agian the mentality of the public is taht of ease and indulgence. Disposable "this" and "thats", and our gas guzzling sport utitlity vehicles. It makes me sick. So my thought is that scientist will never rule teh world, but i beleive they should (perhaps merged with religion, but thats another matter)
