agricultural waste substrates

I have a lot of sunflowers
and cotton wood in the fields near my home.
do you have a few proposals ?
the species I have are pink and golden oysters.

think that this agricultural waste would give a great source of substrate for P. ostreatus, P. dmajor and P. pleurotus and Volvariella volvacea.

Since sunflower seeds have a lot of nutes I only would use them as a supplement for other substrates like cotton, paper, sawdust etc or as spawn.

i MAY be wrong, but i thought sunflower seeds had to high of an oil content to be suited for cultivation?

As a pure substrate, yes.

But as a supplement to low nutrient substrates(=wood) it could be used.
