Real quick question..

Out of 6 PF jars, all have shown some fuzzy green looking mold, I'm tossing them all...

...is it safe to say that any color other than white is a definate contaminant, although ive heard pale yellow is ok, is that true?

It's safe to say that you DON'T want green mold.


They should be white; if there's a little pale yellow it could just be myc piss.

If mycellium is aging, or if it's excreting, or even if it's a bit dry, then pale yellow might not be considered as a sign of contamination.
Also mycellium can get a bluish/-sometimes-greenish hue. This is the result of bruising which can happen due to many factors: handling, aging, environment changes or other off limit growth parameters. This is also not considered a sign of contamination.
