Still, if I were a betting man, I'd bet on the puppet on the right beating the puppet on the left this November.

It does appear that Bush has more support. If he gets reelected, I'll have lost all faith in this country.

Doesn't surprise me after last night. If Bush would have come to play in the first debate this election would already have been over.

I dont think Bush did particularly well in either debate, but the 2nd was certainly not as bad as the 1st. Im suspicious of his sudden ability to form complete sentences. He went from incoherent babble to downright mediocre.

There's still one more debate coming, so hold the champagne for now.

"It does appear that Bush has more support. If he gets reelected, I'll have lost all faith in this country. "

And why's that?

On one hand you've got a guy who, granted, a lot of people don't like.
On the other hand, you've got a guy who's ONLY SELLING POINT IS THAT HE ISN'T THE FIRST GUY.

I'll go on record as saying I'm not a fan of getting shot in the ass, but that doesn't mean I'd vote for getting shot somewhere else.
Basically the left, the democrats -- they're played out. They don't have a message. They latch on to these pointless causes that only piss people off. you know there was a democrat on in Philly few years ago that wanted to have a police dog put to sleep because IT WAS RACIST? Yeah it turns out it drug a "black youth" away from an officer who was arresting another "black youth". Now, you all know damn well that they were teenagers, and the kid the dog grabbed and pulled away from the cop wasn't just standing there being calm and innocent.
Y'anyway. That's the sort of thing the demo's love to grab on to.. and well. it's stupid.
get a real platform, stop running on the fact that you're not a republican, maybe you'll be able to get someone in office.

clinton doesn't count. why? because he's the type of guy that could talk the panties off a nun, that's why.

Well unfortunately you only have 2 choices. So why not choose the lesser of 2 evils?

What? His "selling points" are clearly outlined. Heres just a couple examples: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A16748-2004Jun4.html

You can find plenty more if you do a search. Just look for it

if you look at the 2nd debate strictly as a debate..then no..you cant really say that bush won the debate...

OTOH..what he did do well was to frame the debate into an analogy of his administration ..when he barked at charlie gibson..he cast gibson in the role of the UN ..similarly..kerry was "the rest of the world" and whatever americans that bush doesnt need around..the two of which implicitly means "the terrorists".. and that leaves bush to identify 1:1 with a beligerent america...

it worked like the proverbial charm...what is particularly worrisome is how bushs' apparent inability to control his temper during the debate was viewed favourably by the public..when it proved everything kerry said to be true...

You dont have to convince me, I think Bush got his ass kicked in both debates. He just spoke a little better in the 2nd one.
