Requiem for a dream
    #323601 -

This movie is FUCKED UP. It really kinda messed with my head. I really don't think I'm thinking straight. I'm just glad I only smoked some bud before I watched it and didn't robo trip like I had planned. I still don't even really understand some parts of it because it was so out there. It's not really what I expected. The directing in this is intense. I could just imagine what it would have been like on the big screen. Has anyone else seen this movie.

I can't wait to see it! My friend said it was awesome. I'm glad someone thought it was as good as he said it was. I'll watch it and get back to ya.

I saw it in the theatre. Visually, it was very neat. Story wise, it didn't draw you into the characters enough to have any real sympathy for them. Definitely worth seeing, though.

I watched it tonight. Zounds is right. The characterization could have been better, but the director did a very good job visually constructing the film. The director also co-wrote and directed PI, but I didn't like that movie much. RFAD was worth watching, but "drugstore cowboy" beats this movie anyday.

I just posted a message too, didn't notice yours. Saw it for the first time tonight.

Damn.

DARE should use that movie, it was DISTURBING, makes you want to hug your parents / partner and adopt 35 children.

I saw it last night for the first time... I liked it, but I agree that it was MAJORLY disturbing.. and towards the end, when his arm was so messed up, I was actually turning my head away... That was gross! Partly because I had a friend that got messed up with heroin, and had an infected arm, and I just couldn't look at it.... BTW, I was planning on doing DPT for the first time last night, was gonna take it around 10 or 11pm, but after watching that, I was too scared of my mindset to trip... I just had a cigarette and went to sleep... And had nightmares too..
