Every year I go picking, and every year I find various Psilocybes, but NEVER Psilocybe Cyans, GOD I hope this will be a lucky year for all of us, myself included.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but those of you that have picked them, where do you find them???

Many people claim that garden mulch is the way to go, but in Cardboards pics they seem to be growing in a forest, but yet I hear some people say dont bother hunting for Cyans in the forest.

All of the psilocybe mushrooms I have ever picked have been found on lawns, in grasslands(pastures) and sometimes on mulch, but even the beaos I find I usually growing in the grass beside stunziis.

Anyway, I do TRY, and I know how to pick, I have books and experience, and I have seen so many pics of Cyans that the images are forever imprinted on my mind.

Why do I have such bad luck?

Where should I search.

What I say on the posts is not true!!I never grew,ingested,or distributed mushrooms of any kind.In fact I don't even know what a mushroom is.

Well believe it or not this patch is about 20 feet from the entrance to a city park up here in Whatcom county. Its probably about 300 feet above sea level so thats the only factor I can figure that may have led to this patch going nuts. It got a new cover or fresh wood chippings 2 years ago so that also help make this mycelium very happy. Other than that I think the incredible vigour is due mainly to the great amounts of late spring/early fall rainfall and the favorable temperatures. I believe that in a few more weeks there will most likely be more patches of this size than you can shake a stick at.

amazing pictures cardboard. These are one of the mushrooms i personally still have not found. I am looking forward to finding some this season. Looks like there is going to be a nice picking season this year!!!
