no fruiting yet with perlite+vermiculite

My friend recently used the perlite+water+crumbled cakes+vermiculite casing method in a clear plastic container. There seems to be some mycelleum growth going on - patches of it are coming up throughout the top of the vermiculite. However there is yet to be any shrooms growing. The container is kept out on a shelf so it gets plenty of light throughout the day. The humidity inside is probably around 100% because of the perlite. The temperature varies between 65-80 degrees throughout the day. Is there anything he can do to get these shrooms to fruit? Thanks!
