Could birdseed spawn just be cased?

Might have gone over board on the birdseed for spawn now I think I have more than I need. Could you just case it, and get some decent shrooms.Rather than adding it to straw or dung.

Of course you can case it in fact It's not a bad thing at all.. I would use a little coco fiber on that birdseed and I bet you'll have something to show for... Good luck
