going postal with shrooms

I live in Japan, shrooms are legal here and I would like to send some homegrown love to a friend in the states. I know people order from smart shops in Holland and I suspect most of the intercepted packages are due to the senders addy. Question about customs and the dogs. Are shrooms traficed enough for them to train the dogs to sniff out? I was thinking of sending in a sealed glass jar. I don't want any extra heat put on anybody though. Thanks for the input.

I've been working on some smuggling tek's myself, And I think this is the best thing I've come up with. Buy some shiitake mushrooms (in a bag, that states they ARE shiitake) And fill the bag with your homegrown ones. As for the blue coloring, you could either send him just caps, or lightly dust the stems with flour. Staple or seal the bag shut. Put some other obviously Japanese materials in there, (like dried cuttlefish?). That way it looks like a Japanese care package.Don't put a return address on there. I don't think the dog's sniff every package, but It's more of a weed and coke thing. Shrooms are musty, could be confused with other things, i guess. Well, there you have the customs disguise. I recommend the shiitake bag tek to anyone who deals mushie's in the states. (although I personally don't believe you should sell them in the first place)

Shiitake - Go with the disguise idea, and don't worry man. I have had many shipments sent here from all over the world (including Japan - a place called Tambu sells the real thing and will ship overseas) and never had one package intercepted by customs/USPS. I have a friend who works in the INS and they told me the dogs aren't trained to sniff them out because they are considered an "insignificant" drug. Peace, and long prosper the divine inebrient.
