Strange Abhorts

My buddy is having a dilema. he has a batch of B+ casings that were doing great. but all of a sudden, when they get to about an inch in length, their tiny caps try to open and they abhort!! he has been growing for awhile and always has good crops, but something is wrong here. his temp is at about 75 and the humidity is 93-95% (perlite). the only thing that is different is the fact that after the mycelium had colonized the jars, he had to fridge 'em for about 6 weeks. now that sounds really long to me, but he seems to think that it shouldn't hurt. is this the reason that everything is aborting? thanx for any help you can give.

Sounds to me like air exchange must be increased!
