Compassionate Conservatism
    #3086439 - 09/03/04 09:48 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

George Bush clearly thinks that the Government can solve your problems. He proposes policies like a liberal, and he spends like a liberal. George Bush is in the wrong party.

In 4 days of watching the republicans, how many times did you hear conservatives talking about conservatives issues? How many arguments for smaller government, privatiztion, personal liberty or the great ideas?

I call myself a conservative. I am not a member of the republican party. I wonder what in the hell happened to conservatives.

Bush paid lip service with a few lines about privatizing social security. He did the same with school vouchers in the last election, and they were the first thing he gave up to Ted Kennedy and the teachers unions in No Child Left Behind. His promises to help privatize education have actually led to the most massive and bold government outlay in history. It will make the government monopoly in education bigger than ever before. If Bush could get Social Security reform going, it would easily be the most significant piece of conservative legislation in decades. Don't count on that.

They did a great job of bashing Kerry. Kerry is a horse-faced flip-flopping traitor, and that is worse than just being a Mass liberal. All the republicans are really good for is tearing the other guy down. They chased Clinton around for years with a blue dress while they ignored our countries dire needs. Republicans have failed conservatism.

I do support the war. I will be voting for Bush. I have an intense dislike for John Kerry. It seems most people will be voting against someone instead of for someone else. I am pissed. George Bush is no conservative. If he is, than I am no conservative.

I think the whole thing sucks. Ronald Reagan told us that Government wasn't the answer to the problem, but that government was the problem. God Bless him for that. George Bush believes that government can solve your problems. Something happened to the vision along the way, and now I don't have a major political party that I can identify with.

I am in a bad mood, so screw you.

That felt better.

My wife and I got into a discussion last night about the spending when Bush accused Kerry of being a tax and spend liberal. Bush spends our money just as much as a liberal and if you take away his stance on defense and abortion he appears to be just a useless as a liberal.
