Bandwidth, no. Performance, yes. The larger the active database, the longer it takes to perform MySQL queries on the data, thus manifesting itself in longer load times, longer searches, etc.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Holy shit! Look at www.facethejury.com and scroll down to the bottom to "Top Posters". 208,782 posts made by ONE person, and 23 people with more than 100,000. This is why the bigboards website has more criteria than just threads and posts.

After doing a little math I figuered out that this guy has averaged 163 posts per day for the last 3 and a half years. He'd be a doctor,astronaut, Lawyer and curer of cancer if he'd put his time and energy into something other than post replies.

i think a bunch of other boards do the same thing. i've browsed a few different automotive forums which had huge gatherings with all the same makes of cars...along with stickers advertising their sites and things of that matter.
