ahh... sacredshroom.org. Talk about someone trying to rip off an idea. It's almost an exact duplicate of the shroomery imo... at least it tries to be. I wouldn't worry about the web traffic to the shroomery being taken away... most people who check that site out, head right back hear.

That site was down for quite a while some time ago due to low funds.

Anyways, the owner of that site used to be an admin/owner of this site, hence the similarities.  There was a reorganization of power here and to make a LONG story short he left to start a new site.
As far as I'm concerned, a little competition is a good thing, it keeps everyone on there toes and makes for a better site for the user (hmm, maybe that's the wrong word to use here  :smirk:).

Although the title of the link is questionable to me, there are no rules against advertising that type of site. Only banned links are those to illicit sites, those for free advertising and a few others.

Yea, linking to other message boards/online communities is not a problem.  We want to censor as little as possible and if there are other communities out there that people here may enjoy, then by all means users may link to them responsibly (not flooding the address everywhere, in an intrusive manner, etc).

As TinMan said, we disallow linking to sales businesses,  anything illegal, or anything excessively obscene.  If you ever have any questions you can always PM an administrator and ask us (or post here). :beer:
