Small amount of heat is not harmful, we are talking *warm* - not hot. Oven air is dryer, combined with the air movement of a fan, it is ideal.

I just let them dry in a paper lined cardboard box for a couple of days, then finish them off with dessicant. Dessicant can be purchased at YOUR local Homebase for 2.99 or something similar. "HUMYDRY moisture absorber and air freshener refill" Obviously the unperfumed flavour is best, but pine fresh shrooms might be interesting:)

How about home depot, I went there a few weeks ago, and the paint guy just looked at me funny and said "dessicant, what the hell is dessicant?" Where is this crap?
