A blueberry-guava smoothie I just made at home.

Pretty damn good. I'm trying to eat healthier, and fruit has worked well for me in the past. Here's a recipe I just came up with:

1 skinned & deseeded guava
1 handful of blueberries
A couple tablespoons low-fat vanilla yougurt
half a scoop vanilla ice cream (In this case, Friendly's chocolate chip after I took some chocolate chips out)

A blended together with organic milk added inbetween blending it. Just enough to make it more liquidy.

It tastes much better than those bottled smoothy drinks and is probably cheaper too. Anybody have any other healthy stuff they make?

Sure! As long as you don't mind me putting some rum in! Now that sounds uber-healthy.

This thread should be in the CA forum... Maybe Ripple will move it, but...

2 ripe bananas
4 ice cubes
1 fresh egg
2/3 cup 2% milk
1/4 cup light cream
1/3 cup sugar (or to taste)

Blend well.

Makes 24oz of the bananaiest banana milk shake ever.

Add 2-3oz Bacardi 151 rum if you want to get buzzana.  :nut:

99 bananas would do better in that smoothie.

Raw egg? Isn't there something dangerous about that?

Naw!

As long as it's fresh and has been kept refigerated, no problem.

I've been doing these for years and never had any indication of a problem.

Actually they are quite healthy (other than the obvious cholesterol).

All I buy is supermarket eggs.

They're fine.

You know that mayonaise is 70% raw egg, don't you?

EDIT:

Whoops... 30%
