So I remember a bunch of you guys talking about making smoothies and similar drinks awhile ago, and with the approaching summer I too would like to join you on your smoothie adventures.
So, what are some good recipes you guys came up with? Any general guidelines I should follow?
Anything with oranges, strawberries, bananas, and blueberries are a plus, but I love all kinds of fruit, so feel free to make suggestions about obscure things.

Throw some fruit in a blender with some ice. Start it up and add milk until it's the right consistency. That's all I do.
No real science to it, but there's lots of ways. Google smoothie recipes, and you'll be fast on your way.

I did google recipes and got a bunch of stuff. I was wondering, most of the recipes called for yogurt, would it make a difference if I substituted ice cream?
I'm gonna try all this next week, after I get a blender from home. For now, just getting ideas

yeah smoothies aren't rocket science.. you get a blender.. throw in some fresh, ripe fruit that you like.. some ice.. some yogurt.. whatever tastes good together...blend
You can of course, experiment. That's why smoothies are cool. Ice cream instead of yogurt.. sure.. but you'll be getting a lot more sugar and no enzymes from the yogurt.
Here's one I really like
strawberries banana plain yogurt or soymilk scoop of whey protein powder a little honey ice
blend
damn that shit is good add some flax seed and that stuff is loaded with vitamins and protein and the all-important omega-3 fatty acids. some people mix OJ and fruit with the ice and yogurt.. blueberries.. whatever
here's a couple recipes
