perlite changing color

all cakes look and doing good(pf tek)misting fanning5+ times a day,perlite in one section has turned a slight purple.and still have a smell,not bad ,not rotting,not putred ,but smells like top soil,any input ,jim

id say thats probably spores from the shrooms. nothing to worry about, but might as well change it out to be safe.

i'd have to agree with painteddeath...one time, i came back to some fully matured mushrooms and it was a Deep dark purple on my perlite. you could even see how the small currents of air insided the chamber made BEAUTIFUL designs and patterns on the perlite. that deep color of purple against that pure white perlite was just very pretty.

Don't worry,Be happy Spores have landed Just turns perlite purple
You can remove the color if you want Have 6 or7 spots for over 5 months.

Poor littte spores with no were to grow.
