Not quite. This involves quick freezing in a vacuum- like freeze dried camping food that retains more flavor and almost all the vitamins and minerals- I think you know what I mean. The article discusses a simple homemade vacuum device using a canning jar- of all things. From the cradle to the grave. 8-]

I forgot- the water sublimes from ice to vapor in the vacuum- in one fuck of a hurry- leaving everything, like cell walls, etc. intact. They do it with flowers all the time. So instead of dried up dead flowers, you have beautiful flowers that look real, but are dried and remain in tact.
