seeds never did it?!!?!

hello guys i planted a few HBWR seeds 10 days ago and they haven't germinated yet! how long do they need to germinate?!?!

My outdoor grow log 6 years ago...

My pan cyans grow log from 2004!!

Fresh seeds shouldn't take more than a week if you do it right. You should nick and soak the seeds for 24 hours then plant them in peat pellets. I usually get a 90% germination rate and most come up in about 5 days, and a few taking as long as 12 days. older seeds take 2-3 weeks to germinate if they dont get moldy in the process. Use a weak fungicide to prevent mold from forming on the seeds. Plant them only about 1/2 inch deep into the soil/peat pellet and transplant as soon as you can see roots coming out the bottom.

i nicked and soaked them in water for 15-20 hours. The seeds were 7-8 monts (maybe more) old. I planted them half an inch and sprayed with water evey day. i will wait a few more days before i get disapointed

I had a 4/5 germ rate after nicking the side away from the eye and then placed in a wet paper towel on my 70w reflector to keep it warm at 80-90F. I ended up planting two and later riped the second one out after realizing how big they get and how long it takes to get seeds if any. I just transplanted into a 8" pot then later a 2 gal container with peat/manure and a bit of spawn in the manure dressing :wink:
