Re: blue, green, and cobwebs?

I dont have a hydrometer in the tent which is probably my first mistake. I have the ultrasonic set to go on for 2 minutes, then shut off for 4 hours. This is a continuous cycle for 24 hours. I have a feeling the temperature might have something to do with it as well because the mycellia is just in clumps on the surface and those are the ones with the greenish blue tint. There are few pins. I took a case out about 3 days ago and put it in an incubated invironment around 74 degrees and it was previously doing nothing(it was in the tent with the other 2 cases). It has now exploded and there is mycellia with whispy white feather like things everywhere. I have even spotted 2 baby shrooms on one corner so I dont know what to do. Should I stop humidifying and move the other 2 cases to the incubated area or keep humidifying and incubate? The temperature where the humidifying tent is around 70 degrees. thankyou for your reply and input!

i dont think that 2 minutes on and 4hours off is enough humidity..thats probably why it is blueing..im not that experienced of a caser but i know that you want your humidity around 85 percent..you should raise the temperature in your tent to about 80-85 degrees..you will probably have more success with higher temperature..get a hydrometer and do some experementing with your set up till you can get a steady humidity..or just use a rubbermaid container with perlite..its easier.

If you use a sealed rubbermaid container with wall misting you will maintain high humidity easily without perlite. I wall spray my casing terrarium like once every 2 days and even with fanning humidity never drops below 95% (which is too high for casing anyway). Either I bought a busted hydometer or this works fine.
