I spoke briefly with Suffer the other night in chat about this very topic and we both thought it might serve the site well to combine this Health & Fitness forum request with our current Support Group Central forum. As it stands, the SGC forum seems to take a negative tone in the long run (not necessarily a bad thing though it is trying on the mods who deal with it day to day), and it is suspected that the addition of Physical Health questions may aid in adding balance to the forum.

The resulting combination may be retitled as "Physical & Mental Health" to encompass both the mental support that it currently provides to distressed persons seeking advice or just a person who will listen, as well as persons who wish to live a healthier lifestyle physically, be it through diet control, exercise, or other activities.

What does everyone think about this idea?<center>

Much better compromise....as was mentioned earlier, the support forum would probably lose alot of the expression that it's (as far as i can tell) designed for....

and food and fitness seem a better match anyways.

I understand that people may become concerned about the long-term or short-term effects of a particular drug has on their body, in which a "Health Forum" could be of use. However, I have seen these concerns duly answered in the appropriate forums regarding the drug. Other than that, I do not see any real application of a fitness forum to a psychedelic mushroom community.

I didn't bother to read through all these replies so excuse me if I am being redundant.

Politics are welcome because this is a psychedelic community and political discussion and reform is not one bit outlandish.

Cooking is welcome because this is a mushroom/stoner community and we all know how much stoners love to eat.

Science and Technology is welcome because I pwn j00 mnd. -- edit: What Suffer said. It's online so this subject should always be relevant.

I agree with the plan to combine SGC and health & fitness type forum together. I can imagine the toll that it must take for mods to read through SGC all day, it will give them a brighter side to look forward to.

Well, that all seemed like a waste of time.
No one is posting health related or fittness
topics in the fourm now its been asked for
and created. Seems a lot of people said they
wanted it, but no one has contributed.

Support group has just continued as was.

There are a few physical health related threads now. I think the scope of discussion in the new forum has broadened itself somewhat - though granted, not hugely.
