Pretty easy thought experiment -
If Germany's crimes in the 30s and 40s were committed by 2 parties instead of 1, would you vote for one of those parties?

Would you support a politician that publicly argued that Germany should receive "defensive" weapons as they were committing the holo caust?
No you wouldn't. So why support AOC?

Would you support a politician that was against ending the holocaust for over a year, blamed Germany's victims for their own slaughter, and constantly reaffirmed Nazi Germany's right to exist? No you wouldnt. So why support Bernie Sanders

Both of these are supported by hasan and mamdani.

What even is the difference?

Genocide is both defined and recognized as a crime under international law -- ethnic cleansing is not, it's more of a descriptive term -- too often I see ethnic cleansing used as a euphemism for genocide, rather than referring to anything substantially different

Israel's genocide didn't begin on Oct 8th -- that's just when a preponderance of evidence began to make it impossible to hide
