For all my cacti I use 3 parts potting soil, 2 parts perlite and 1 part sand. I usually mulch with pea gravel but went with crushed limestone for the lophs. The limestone I ordered ended up being finer than expected (more like cat litter than gravel) but seems to be agreeable so far.

For all 2 friends who know this exists, Kono (Conophytum)
the strange ribless Loph is giving ribs now giving ribs. Seven months old.
L. Williamsii Huizache El coyote, during July, September, and October 🎃

I have never seen this before, no idea why'd she take 5-6 months to gain rib formation?

My seedlings start in slightly more organic soil, then move to more
perlite, pumice, sand, etc. soil as they get a bit older.
Good luck on the seed raising you guys, welcome aboard!
