6-7 Days of Ready-To-Eat Emergency Food for $10 in a small 22lbs box * 1
    #29696736 -

This is not what you want to eat. At all.
But, all you need for 6-7 days in a small box for $10

Nutritionally imperfect in the longer run but - fine to tide you over a bump.

Stated shelf life on the labels is about a year, so cycle 1 carton + pack every 2 months - hardly a chore.

Can you do better for $10?

We are talking Emergency, not gourmet. Nutrition beats luxury.

If you don't want to spend thought or cash on preparedness, this is your no-brainer solution.

Feel free to steal the meme and plaster it where you want to - memes should spread.

Of course you can do way way better than this, but for minimal effort, this is it.

Metabolically, the food generates half a liter of water by burning it so total fluid count is 1.5 liter a day.

Mice and bugs you might have love oatmeal, so store well.

If you live in an area that gets blizzards etc, a similar box is nice with the blankets in the back of your car.

At 2:1 fluids:oatmeal it sets like a readily stirrable porridge that tastes suspiciously like health food but is easy to get down.

Chocolate milk lasts a year? How?

Milk powder, cacao and sugar might get the price lower but you need water

Pemmican runs about $200 maybe a week, but properly made can last longer, and is basically nutritionally complete, it would probably take years to hit a deficiency if you even could, I made it one weekend when I went to Toronto and didn't want to pay for keto meals, 1kg last me 2 days of only eating it, and another 2 or 3 days of eating it with other food, it cost me $80 in meat because I paid for pre-cut eye of round strips so I didn't have to slice it myself, but would only cost me $45 to cut it myself, and another $10 in tallow, so to cut it myself $55 for 3 days or pre-cut $90 for 3 days

But to go cheap perhaps dent corn could work, need to nixtalmize it, but oats and rice might be cheaper considering there's probably more demand so more is grown, idk

Its about $14 a week just for the corn, plus you need beans, plus you will eventually run into issues

Quote:
[If you ate only nixtamalized corn and beans, you would begin running into noticeable health issues in about **1 to 3 months**, primarily due to the complete absence of **Vitamin C** (leading to scurvy) and **Vitamin B12** (leading to anemia and nerve damage).

---

### Timeline of Potential Issues:

* **Within 1 to 3 Months (Scurvy):** Neither dry corn nor dry beans contain Vitamin C. Depleting your body's stored Vitamin C leads to bleeding gums, joint pain, fatigue, and poor wound healing.
* **Within 3 to 6 Months (Vitamin A Deficiency):** Unless using deep-orange field corn, a lack of Vitamin A will begin causing dry eyes and reduced night vision.
* **Within 1 to 3 Years (Vitamin B12 Deficiency):** Because B12 is only available in animal products (or fortified foods/supplements), your body's liver stores will eventually run out, causing fatigue, tingling in the hands/feet, and cognitive changes.

*(Note: Nixtamalization prevents niacin deficiency/pellagra, and the corn-and-bean combination supplies a complete protein profile, so basic energy and protein needs would be met until micro-nutrient deficiencies set in.)*    [\quote]

I was hoping this would pique your interest and would challenge you to do better.

Talking about the UHT unrefrigerated long storage milk, not regular refrigerated dairy.

.

ooo-wee! Milk powder got hella expensive, a 25kg/55lbs bag of full fat milk powder not intended as feed but food costs me 125 euros, so thats a liter price of 1 euro - UHT chocolate milk is 80 cents, nothing goes rancid, you get to keep the water.

Is milk powder that affordable in Canada? I'm very interested in affordable milk powder, but I'd have to order from Poland or beyond to see sub-100 bucks for a 25kg bag. Milk Protein Isolate too is quite expensive, I'd love me a whole milk protein low in lactose but man its expensive even on the bag level.

You'd probably love those protein isolates with your Keto, very low in lactose high in BCAA's.

You're hearing the music, basic staple foods have gone way expensive.

My binary system is only good for a few day burst, its incomplete, but for $10 for 6 days its hard to get 2400 kcal a day in thats at least mostly balanced.

Like I started with - nothing you want to eat at all, but on a short stint it works.

On PEI the government gives you what looks like a rolled up sleeping bag and inside is five days or so of supplies.

No I havnt bought dried milk powder in almost a decade, I just assumed its cheap

Canada wastes milk due to the dairy lobby, farmers cry because they have to spill milk instead of sell it, if I was in charge I'd make it illgle and make that milk be turned into cheese and powder and stuff, at the very least give it to the poor like the USA government cheese

In Australia or NZ they make cheese and butter, get the whey protein out too and the remaining "lactose water" they split then ferment then distil into alcohol they sell to distilleries. A lot of distilled beverages there are not grain alcohol but cow alcohol ^_^

Waste not, want not!

Spilling milk is a crime, I agree.

Get some chix w/ big titties and milk them.

If society collapses maybe we just resort to cannibalism?

And people were like oh no those zombie dreams where i was running from them, really i am eating human flesh out of starvation and I guess I am the zombie. You could hunt hunt squirrels and cats, but what if its nuclear winter (or the dinosaur killing comet) blocking out the sun, now shit stops growing. Gotta eat, so people, maybe, with BBQ sauce. If I die you can fully eat me in those circumstances. I watched this mondo movie where where they talked to cannibals and they said they preferred to eat women because they taste better. That sounds legit, I don't know.

You have your canned tuna in your batcave elon shelter, but for how long?

Still though i trust your spirt guide more on precious metals than prepping i thinking about buying bars, if everything collapses the robots will still buy my silver
