I’ll do that next run. I see the benefit of letting it consolidate before casing.

Also in your opinion, what is a proper casing layer?

Happy Sunday y’all

So I’m getting to the point of thinking of what genetics to run next.

Hopefully this run will produce fruits for me! Been a great and rewarding run so far and learning a lot.

As you know I’m a newbie. Please help me out with suggestions in my skill level.

I know how some people feel about lc’s from vendors. I look forward to agar but it’s not the time yet. I don’t really have the space for the extra supplies and am lucky my woman is so understanding so far.

Happy Sunday ohiogrown!:drinkcoffee: as far as cubes go, they are all going to be a similar ease to cultivate. PE types take a little longer. If you wanted another species to grow, tampanensis, or ochras are very forgiving.

Snazz, what is the advantage in waiting for full colonization, then doing a casing layer? I've only ever done psuedocasings, so this is new information to my ears.

I personally LOVE lc's from trusted vendors because the ones I've gone through if there's REAL contamination you can tell on agar and they will send a replacement upon explanation and proof of contam in most cases.

The message they're lc is contaminated helps them (when true) to find contam lc batches n replace kinda a win win most easily replace

My fav is limed Peatmoss. Some people cut it with coarse verm, guess it depends on the species.  Tampanesis loves damp

Yeah, I think consolidation helps to setup the mush life cycle transition. Often that's when my lids come off for good in tent.  Or cranking up FAE in monotubs

Cubes a cubes a cube I’ve seen. I didn’t know that the PE variety can be a little slower. Not like I’m in any rush. But I decided to go with hillbilly. I’ve been drawn to it since I saw it.

Hello all,
I’m tired but wanted to share. First spotting of a pin!!

I see a couple others kicking around but this one is the most photogenic.








Please help me with your thoughts on this. I’m completely new and don’t know what I’m doing and don’t want to mess up. Endless thanks to everyone who got me here.

Thanks man! I couldn’t believe my eyes. It’s been a chill experience patient wise but looking for those first little pins I couldn’t help myself from looking. Was like standing on the edge of time. Lol

So rewarding seeing everything progress this far. Hopefully everything finishes out and I’ll be making my next try.
