Ben’s Rice Fail 🥲

Started with 5 down to 3 bags now 🥲 it’s okay I’ve also set up 4/4 fruiting chambers so far I will post pictures of the setup tomorrow quite frankly was my own fault on the contam with these two I did a poor tape job on the vent but nonetheless! We live and we learn

Uncle bens strikes again. It's a failure ridden way to grow. You'll find much better success and less heartache either steam pasteurizing Brown rice or learning Pf tek if you are without a pressure cooker:mushroom2:

I actually tried to do bens myself one time.  I fugured i could pull something off.  Used clean agar samples and everything.

Sure as shit i fell failed too.  Looked just like yours do.

From what I've read, Uncle Ben's rice, specifically, is usually too wet to make decent spawn.  Even when ya get drier stuff, though, the tek is extreeeeeeemely failure-prone.  Tried myself a few times, startin out, never succeeded.

Ate the last (uninoculated) bag of rice after givin it up as a bad job.  Gave me the fuckin squirts and I cooked that shit to spec.

Makes me wonder how many of the sales for UB are going towards faulty mushroom grows. Same with canning jars, prestos,telephone agar and LME :hehehe::mushroom2:
